Originally founded by World-Check, the first Forum was held in 2005 with representatives from banks and financial institutions.

Today, Thomson Reuters and World-Check continue to host this diverse mix of senior professionals from Fortune 500 companies and the financial, legal, regulatory and enforcement sectors. The annual event provides a platform where they can discuss common issues and challenges faced by the international community.

The two-day event is by invitation only and is organised to encourage cross-border cooperation within industry, and between industry and enforcement.

The Compliance Leadership Forum

  • Promotes the flow of information amongst different sectors
  • Identifies common issues and solutions
  • Highlights the need for high standards of ethical behaviour
  • Supports the global roll-out of compliance requirements
  • Encourages a climate in which money laundering and terrorist financing are reduced and combated

"The Forum was an exceptional opportunity to interact with peers, hear from an expert list of speakers and be challenged by the responses of colleagues. I found the Q&A sessions most valuable as they enabled the guest speakers to be drawn into issues which are most pertinent to industry. I would recommend participation by those who wish to gain a truly global and multidisciplinary perspective."
